Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
A first-person action-adventure where you crack ancient tombs, steal relics, and outwit fascist patrols with disguises and a whip.
Deserves your Game Pass queue slot — Great Circle holds its own next to Last Crusade, and the April 2025 PS5 port added native 4K Pro support.
For you if
- You loved the original Indy films and want a stealth-adventure game in that universe
- You're an Xbox Game Pass / PC Game Pass subscriber — it's day-one Game Pass
- You enjoy first-person exploration with disguise-based stealth (Dishonored DNA, less-lethal combat)
Not for you if
- You demand third-person camera — first-person perspective is non-negotiable
- You hate stealth-mandatory sections — getting spotted by Captains is unavoidable in disguise zones
- You're not an Indy fan — much of the appeal leans on franchise nostalgia
The narrative and cinematic immersion, rivaling the best Indy films, is what high-hour players consistently celebrate.
Hand-to-hand combat and clunky gunplay are the persistent friction points that mar the otherwise polished adventure.

Takes an unexpectedly stealthy and freeform approach, making for a faithful, rip-roaring adventure.
- 5/5Eurogamer
Smart, fun and so very Indiana Jones, The Great Circle is a stealth action tour de force.
- 9/10Game Informer
More or less a first-person version of an Uncharted or Tomb Raider game.

Refreshed monthlyIs Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PS5?
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launched on PS5 on April 17, 2025 (April 15 with Premium Edition early access). The PS5 Pro version adds native 4K resolution, advanced ray tracing, and higher consistent framerates over base PS5. DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers respond to combat, traversal, and tool usage (whip recoil, revolver kick). The game became the best-selling PS5 game of release week — strong proof the platform-shift paid off for Bethesda/MachineGames.
How long does it take to beat Indiana Jones and the Great Circle?
Main story takes 25-40 hours depending on difficulty and side content. 100% completion (every collectible, Adventure Books filled, Mysteries solved, every disguise unlocked, every achievement) lands at 35-50 hours. Skipping side content and rushing the story can finish in ~20 hours. Higher difficulties dramatically extend playtime since combat is high-stakes and stealth retries multiply.

How does the disguise system work in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle?
You unlock a free basic disguise per open-world zone, and a second upgraded disguise after completing each zone's main quest — prioritize main quests early to unlock the better disguise as fast as possible. Captain-rank fascists in fancy uniforms always see through your disguise, so avoid them entirely. Disguise lets you walk past patrols, loot, and skip combat in restricted areas. Watch for the music shift — calm/mysterious tones mean enemies near; trills mean you've been spotted.
What is The Order of Giants DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle?
The Order of Giants is a story DLC released September 4, 2025 for Xbox/PC/PS5/Game Pass. It's an expansion of the base game's Vatican City section that takes Indy to ancient Rome — new open-area map covering the city, the Cloaca Maxima sewer system, and underground crypts. Father Ricci hires Indy to chase a Roman artifact tied to the Nephilim Order, leading into the Cult of Mithras and Emperor Nero's gladiator games. Bundled with the Premium Edition; sold separately otherwise.

What are the best combat tips for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle?
Indy's combat leans on improvised melee — bottles, batons, sticks, hammers all work. Bare hands won't stun, so always grab a weapon (the revolver handle counts). Whip short-press flinches enemies and may disarm them. Silent takedowns from behind work on patrolling enemies. Prioritize Adventure Points on combat-tier Adventure Books first (melee damage, weapon durability). Higher difficulties make combat punishing — when in doubt, sneak past instead of brawling.
