What changed recently

On 27 May 2026 CD Projekt announced Songs of the Past, a full expansion expected in 2027, and attached to it a requirements change effective from the next update: 64-bit Windows 11 minimum, a 70GB SSD with hard drives dropped, and DirectX 11 removed so the game runs exclusively on DirectX 12. That update has not shipped, and Steam's store page still advertises Windows 7 and DirectX 11 as the minimum.
