Cronos: The New Dawn vs Resident Evil 4 Remake
Bloober's time-travel horror vs Capcom's action-horror remake — both revive past eras, but one rewards patience and the other rewards reflexes.

Corridor dread and bullet-hoarding done as well as Dead Space did it — worth the price if you can forgive boss fights that belong in a different game.
Skip the default green button: Gold costs less than Standard plus Separate Ways and adds the extras pack. Superb remake — but the 2005 original is still sold, and cheaper.

Shared scale — same months across the bottom, same player-count axis up the side, so the two lines are directly comparable. A shorter line means a younger game.
What players say
Patterns from long-haul reviewers, taken from each game's verdict. Not live sentiment — each side is dated below.
Cronos: The New Dawn
The oppressive atmosphere and sound design are what keep 50+ hour players coming back, each replay digging deeper into the story's merging fiction.
Boss fights and sporadic FPS drops are the recurring frictions even long-time fans cite — the clunky mechanics don't translate to large-scale encounters.

Resident Evil 4 Remake
The combat, three years on. It is the parry and the crowd control that long-haul players keep naming — rarely the horror.
That it is not the 2005 game. The dissent is almost entirely from purists who think the cuts and added side quests dilute the original's pacing.
